Filming Blog: Football Game
When me and my actors arrived at the park, the weather was nice and
cool. It was also bright enough to film for the game we were about to have. Since
it wouldn't be in low lighting due to some to the clouds covering up the sun. All of us were already in our costumes as it was just athletic outfits and regular causal clothes.
Finding an open field to play in was rather easy as the park was large with
many grass fields. With his being a community park it was rather quite where there isn't much disturbance aside from the distance traffic noises. The only props we had were the candy bar and football so there was no issues with those. After having the perfect area, we then looked to see which
side and angle would best capture the football game. When looking over some
sample films, I decided that a long shot would be good to get the whole look of
us. I also decided that I will film a tracking scene for when we're running.
Where it may or may not make it into the final cut but good as a backup. I then
went over everyone's roles and positions before we started. We then started the
game and filming. I film a scene saying, "Let's play football." A few
scenes of me cashing into the other person with the ball. Where I run into to
other side to get the point. I filmed a scene of me talking trash to the other
player. I filmed a scene of me helping the player up and saying, "Here,
eat a snickers." I then filmed him biting into the candy bar. I then
filmed myself asking him, "Better?" I then filmed the new version of
the player, where he replies, "Better." I lastly filmed that player
finally wining. After all that, I would review the footage to see if I should
rerecord any specific scenes before leaving. This process took about 45 minutes to get the footage I really wanted.
