Keeping the muisic video on the minute

5 Best Professional Video Editing Software Picks for 2020 – 3D Insider

I'm following almost the same process as I did for my last project. The moment I finished with the rest of my filming, I dumped all the clips onto my computer. Then I assorted all the clips out into files that correspond to each scene as I had multiple takes for each of those scenes. I then imported all of the bests takes of each scene onto my editing software. Piecing the slips together was rather easy for me. I knew ahead of time that this was a narrative based music video. So I knew exactly the order I wanted everything to be arranged in. Where I wanted the story to flow with what the music was saying. After this, I placed the scenes in their order. I then played it out to get a general sense of what to do next. After playing it the whole thing out, I confirmed that everything was in their right order. The total came out to be about a minute and 20 seconds.

This made me realize that I was over the time limit. Where I needed to edit some of the time from the scenes. I also wanted to cut some parts of the scene out as it was adding to the time. This meant that I had to rerun the whole film again and look for what scenes I could cut down or speed up where it wouldn't take away anything important. I had to speed up the opening scene, where It was scenery taken at the park. This allowed you to know where the first half of the film is taking place. Where it didn't move faster than you can keep up. I then had to cut down a bit the clips of the actors walking together at the park. I then had to speed up the actor interaction just a little bit as your just looking at their facial expression. After all of that, I had reached the minute mark I wanted. I then lowered the original sound from the scenes completely and imported the chosen music into the film, which was nicely consistent with the film's scenes. I then showed everyone who participate and family members how the final product looked, where they all agreed it look good. In total, I was able to achieve the final version of my music video.
